The City of Chandler Fleet Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Fleet Services Senior Technician - CDL. This is a full-time position with benefits, scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The City of Chandler Fleet Services Division consists of 12 Senior Fleet Technicians, support staff, and management. We support over 1,200 city-owned and operated vehicles and equipment. We are a progressive and innovative team that strives to meet our customers' needs, deliver quality services, and support the City of Chandler’s mission, vision, and values. Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with experience working on passenger vehicles, Police vehicles, heavy trucks, motorcycles, and equipment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
A vocational/technical training or coursework in electronics, communication equipment, and systems or communication theory
3 years of experience as a skilled automotive mechanic, including some experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty construction equipment
A/C Refrigerant Recovery Certification
ASE Certification
must possess a complete set of mechanical hand tools
A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Class B Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of hire or promotion
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
