Job Responsibility

  • Lead documentation and curriculum development for Waymo’s safety critical Fleet Response Operations including Rider Support (RS) and Waymo Roadside Assistance (WRA)
  • Drive strong cross functional collaboration with business stakeholders and vendor partners to achieve desired learning proficiency as well as safety and compliance outcomes in complex safety-critical and regulatory sensitive environments
  • Set the strategy and own the execution to make training an enabling function for the fleet response operations
  • Work closely with and drive accountability with partners and vendor suppliers for the training compliance including recurrent training and safety critical outcomes
  • Lead content development prioritization and roadmap enablement for the RS/WRA response function training needs that support company goals and business objectives

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience developing documentation, training content and hands-on expertise with the associated methodologies, tools and systems (such as LMS, Articulate, Captivate etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and oversee large-scale technical documentation, training content and curriculum development in safety-critical and complex environments, with a strong understanding of ensuring adherence to rigorous operational policies and procedures
  • Successful track record in managing work deliverables through global extended workforce
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience of training and development platforms, instructions and curriculum design framework and learners’ proficiencies assessment
  • Experience in high pace environments with high volume of changes and business critical deadlines

  • Ensure all equipment (including diving life support systems) and vessels are maintained through proactive, preventative maintenance programs
  • Utilize SGS’s maintenance management system (MTC Pro) to schedule and track all maintenance, inspections, and compliance tasks for regional assets – including facility, vehicles, trailers, vessels, life support equipment, generators, underwater video systems, etc. – and maintain accurate logs and photographic records to verify task completion, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.   • Reconcile maintenance expenditures and CAPEX accounts on a monthly basis in coordination with the General Manager and Regional Accounting, maintaining budgetary control
  • Take a hands-on approach to leadership by actively participating in maintenance and repair tasks as needed. Lead by example in the shop and field, providing coaching and training to team members to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and efficiently
  • Assign and/or perform routine maintenance on marine diesel engines (e.g. oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments)
  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines, propulsion systems, control systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct sea trials to verify repairs and ensure vessels are fully operational and seaworthy
  • Retrofit or upgrade engines and equipment per manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and diagnostic results for each service or repair in MTC Pro
  • Train and guide team members or vessel operators in proper engine maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques
