The Fleet Manager is a critical logistical role essential to Bird's success in Penticton. You will take responsibility for all elements of the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes, ensuring they are charged, safe, and positioned correctly to meet the community's transportation needs. This is a revenue-share opportunity where earnings are directly tied to output. Based on a fleet volume of approximately 300 vehicles daily, this role offers an earning potential of $1500 per week, with the opportunity to earn significantly more based on your speed and performance.
Job Responsibility:
Fleet Transportation: Utilize your vehicle(s) or fleet to collect, deploy, relocate, and retrieve e-scooters and e-bikes across Penticton daily
Fleet Maintenance: Ensure timely repair and general maintenance of e-scooters and e-bikes to uphold brand standards and ensure rider safety
Operational Management: Manage the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, ensuring vehicles are available in high-demand areas
Field Execution: Problem-solve in real-time to overcome obstacles, prioritize tasks, and navigate local geography efficiently
Requirements:
Vehicle Access (Required): Must own or have consistent access to at least one large vehicle (van/truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters/bikes
Storage Space: Access to a garage, warehouse, or commercial facility with electricity is highly preferred for maximizing earnings (allows for overnight charging)
License: Valid Class 5 Driver's License (or applicable commercial license) with a clean driving record for all operating drivers
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and stand for long periods while handling heavy equipment
Availability: Flexible schedule with a willingness to regularly operate on weekends
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning new mobile tools to locate and manage the fleet
Local Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Penticton's local geography
