Are you an experienced fleet professional looking for a new challenge within a dedicated local government team? We are seeking a motivated individual to coordinate our fleet management functions and ensure our operational assets remain fit for purpose.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate all procurement and disposal activities for fleet and plant assets
Develop and implement fleet systems and procedures to ensure legislative compliance
Prepare and monitor annual capital expenditure plans and internal hire rates
Supervise staff by effectively coordinating workloads and managing performance
Investigate accidents or incidents involving plant and vehicles to implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate databases and provide detailed reports on fleet performance
Requirements:
An IPWEA Fleet Management Certificate or an equivalent qualification, or significant relevant experience
Demonstrated experience in whole of life costing analysis and the preparation of contract documentation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to forecast organisational needs
Excellent communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
A sound understanding of health and safety requirements and diversity principles
Knowledge of local government purchasing policies and chain of responsibility laws is highly desirable
Extensive fleet management experience
Police Check passed.
