Job Description:

We are looking for a Department Manager to support our Motor Fleet division. The candidate should be dynamic, organised, and a driven professional with a passion for excellence and team leadership. As Divisional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the Motor Fleet division. Working closely with the existing management team, you will oversee the overall operations of the team, ensuring that managers, sales staff, and support teams are aligned and working efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the insurance industry, and enjoys improving systems, organising people, and making things happen behind the scenes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Motor Fleet division
  • Support and coordinate with team managers across sales and service teams
  • Ensure meetings, processes, and communications run smoothly across the division
  • Drive operational efficiency and consistency in how the division functions
  • Assist the management team in planning and the implementation of key projects
  • Monitor performance, track KPIs, and support team leaders in achieving their targets
  • Identify areas for improvement and help implement change
  • Oversee and drive learning and development opportunities ensuring training requirements are followed through
  • Manage compliance and support adherence to regulatory and internal standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or operations management role, ideally within insurance or financial services
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of team dynamics and performance management
  • Proactive mindset with a solutions-focused approach
  • Commercially aware with a good grasp of business strategy and execution
