The Fleet and Bus Operations Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of fleet and bus services across EURO 2028. Working closely with varied functional areas as well as liaising directly with suppliers, the Fleet and Bus Operations Manager will ensure seamless delivery of transport services to key client groups including Teams, Referees and Tournament Guests across all nine EURO 2028 match venues. The Fleet and Bus Operations Manager will act as the key point of contact within the UK and Ireland 2028 Event Transport team for all matters related to vehicles and drivers, working closely with UEFA’s Fleet and Bus Operations Specialist and will have line management responsibility for Fleet and Bus Operations Coordinators covering all match venues.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the Fleet and Bus Operations for UK and Ireland 2028 Event Transport team, including support in the recruitment of and management of a team of Coordinators
Maintain key working relationships with UEFA Fleet and Bus Operations Specialist and external stakeholders, including vehicle and service provider
Onboarding of suppliers including bus supplier, professional driver supplier and fleet vehicle supplier(s), acting as key local point of contact
Acts as the key contact person for all internal stakeholders with regards to fleet and bus planning for the event including but not limited to Football Operations and Guest Management
Develop operational plans, including policies and procedures for eight fleet depots across all Tournament Host Cities
Develop understanding of UEFA fleet management systems and upskill direct reports on same systems
Defines and implements Policies and Procedures related to fleet vehicle usage in line with the guidelines provided by UEFA
Support procurement of Fleet services including but not limited to fuel and vehicle wash and ongoing supplier management
Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet changing priorities
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained
Requirements:
Proven experience working within a Fleet Management environment, preferably within major sports tournaments
Previous experience within a line management capacity
Demonstrable experience of stakeholder and supplier management
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Computer-literate: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
