Job Description

The Fleet and Maintenance Manager will report to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization’s fleet operations. This includes new vehicle acquisitions, maintenance scheduling, compliance with licensing and registration requirements, and driver safety initiatives. The Fleet Management Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining safety and compliance standards across the fleet.

Job Responsibility

  • New Vehicle Acquisition: Oversee the purchase and onboarding of new fleet vehicles, ensuring all specifications meet operational needs
  • Vehicle Assignment Management: Coordinate the assignment and reassignment of vehicles to employees, maintaining accurate records
  • Maintenance Management: Review, approve, and monitor vehicle maintenance requests, send reminders, and follow up on completed work
  • Licensing and Registration: Ensure all vehicles comply with licensing and registration requirements, including DOT regulations
  • Driver Safety Training: Organize and conduct safety training sessions for new drivers to uphold safety standards
  • Accident and Repair Scheduling: Handle accident reporting and coordinate vehicle repairs efficiently
  • Riverlink Management: Oversee and manage toll accounts for fleet vehicles
  • Vehicle Graphics: Coordinate the application and maintenance of vehicle branding
  • Recall Management: Monitor and address vehicle recall notifications
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct and document regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Fleet Monitoring and Reporting: Utilize Azuga software to monitor vehicle usage, generate reports, and ensure fleet optimization
  • DOT Inspections: Prepare for and oversee DOT vehicle inspections to maintain compliance

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of fleet management experience
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., Azuga)
  • Strong administrative, clerical, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
