Job Description

This position is responsible for preparing and cooking all food items as specified by recipes and company standards and in a manner to ensure the safety of guests and team. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable federal/state/local laws, gaming regulation, the mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority (OMDA).

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook all food items as specified by recipes and company standards
  • Ensure the safety of guests and team
  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive service to staff
  • Prepare and cook multiple orders
  • Maintain consistency of plate presentation and food quality
  • Assist in the flow and control of the food service line
  • Know menu items, daily specials, and floor plan to assist in delivery of food
  • Follow all recipes for best product results
  • Assist in all kitchen production and product manufacturing
  • Assist in products placement and rotation for all storage locations
  • Complete all requisitions as needed
  • Greet guest and team members eagerly upon arrival
  • Maintain a proactive guest service approach
  • Assist with guest questions regarding promotions, events, specials, areas, and locations of casino
  • Maintain attendance to ensure necessary coverage
  • Maintain Departmental log(s) noting any unusual occurrences, incidents, equipment failures, safety issues, disputes, etc.

Requirements

  • Prior customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • Micros experience is preferred but not essential
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six (6) months’ cooking experience in a restaurant preferred
  • Must be able to provide documents to show eligibility to work in the United States
  • Required to pass a drug test and obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Otoe-Missouria Gaming Commission
  • Otoe-Missouria Gaming Permit (may be required depending on property)
  • Food Handlers Certification
