Job Description

A Fixture Builder is responsible for assembling fixtures and other related tooling. They are accountable for the accuracy, quality, and correctness of the final product.

Job Responsibility

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Organize and inspect all incoming purchased and machined items
  • Assemble new fixtures in preparation for inspection and perform adjustments as required
  • Test overall fixture functionality including motions, mechanisms, clamping, fits, ergonomics, safety, and other items as applicable
  • Perform engineering changes and maintenance to existing projects
  • Assure all work and procedures conform to Select Tool's ISO documentation and procedures
  • Maintain and organized and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Fixture and general manufacturing experience
  • Welding experience and asset
  • Ability to read blueprints & GD&T
  • General machinist capabilities (Bridgeport, grinder, lathe)
  • Ability to use fork lift
  • Minimum High School diploma
  • Technical School Graduate or equivalent experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
