Shape Young Minds: Long-Term Cover Teacher Needed. Location: Crawley, West Sussex & surrounding areas. School Type: Co-educational, Public Primary (Ages 5-11). Contract Type: Long-Term Supply (6+ week blocks) with additional flexible day-to-day options. Looking for teaching flexibility without losing the reward of classroom continuity? Randstad Education is searching for an organized, high-energy Primary School Teacher to step into a stable, 6-week minimum cover placement at a fantastic local school. This role is the perfect stepping stone to build strong school relationships and unlock future permanent opportunities, while still keeping control of your schedule. Job Responsibility

  • Full Classroom Ownership: Lead the charge on planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons
  • Adaptive Teaching: Tailor your approach to meet diverse student needs, problem-solving on the spot if preset work isn't available
  • Team Collaboration: Partner closely with classroom Teaching Assistants to optimize student support
  • Constructive Feedback: Provide clear, timely marking and feedback to keep pupils moving forward
  • Positive Culture: Maintain robust behavior management to foster an inviting, productive learning space

Requirements

  • Teaching Credentials: A relevant degree along with formal teaching qualifications (PGCE/UK QTS is highly desirable
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply)
  • Primary Experience: Proven history managing and teaching a primary classroom
  • Compliance: A valid, clear Enhanced DBS check (we can guide you through the application process if you don't have one)
  • Drive: A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to student development
