The Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role within Markets Production Management, supporting the Fixed Income Finance Desk under Markets Treasury & Financing. The role applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflows for the area or function. Strong analytical skills are required to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential. The role regularly assumes informal/formal leadership within teams, is involved in coaching and training of new recruits, and has significant impact in terms of project size and geography by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, and/or facilitating services to others in the area of specialization.
Job Responsibility:
Core Application Support: Provide technical and business support to Finance Desk users for functions like trade capture, positions management
Maintain application systems running in daily operations, ensuring stability, quality, and functionality
Manage, maintain, and support applications and their production operating environments spanning Autosys, Openshift, RHEL Servers, Oracle DBs
Perform start-of-day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover across global time zones
Develop and maintain technical support documentation for all supported applications
Incident & Risk Management: Assess risk and impact of production issues across the Finance Desk application stack and escalate to business and technology management
Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues
communicate impact to relevant stakeholders
Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
Manage and report control issues with transparency, particularly for SOX-critical systems
Ensure storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly across all supported environments
Application Stability & Improvement: Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used by the Fixed Income Finance Desk
Formulate and define scope and objectives for complex application enhancements and problem resolution
Review and develop application contingency planning to ensure availability to users, including COB environment readiness
Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
Active involvement in and ownership of Support Project items covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives across the Finance Desk portfolio
Release & Deployment: Participate in application releases across the full lifecycle using Udeploy along with pre-implementation and post-implementation checks
Stakeholder & Team Engagement: Act as a liaison between users/traders on the Fixed Income Finance Desk, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors
Exhibit sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts within the support team
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations
Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others

Compliance & Controls: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets
Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
adhere to Policy and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices
Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency, especially given the SOX-critical nature of Finance Workstation (FWS)
Requirements:
Experience in an Application Support role, preferably within a Capital Markets or Investment Banking technology environment
Experience supporting trade capture, position management, or risk analytics applications
Experience working in a global, multi-region (NAM/EMEA/APAC) team
Familiarity with Secured Financing Transactions (Repos, Buy/Sellbacks, Securities Lending/Borrowing) or Fixed Income products is advantageous
Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
scripting skills for support automation are a plus
Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization in a fast-paced trading environment
Effective written and verbal communications, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
Demonstrated analytical skills
