Job Description:

Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls. The team comprises disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers and Financial Planning & Analysis, and manages and partners on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the management and control of data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data
  • Prepare and record financial transactions
  • Update the general ledger in accordance with management reporting requirements for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes
  • Identify and resolve problems using independent judgment for assigned products/business
  • Implement workflow or process change and redesign
  • Use a strong basic understanding of the specific function
  • Be accountable for regular reporting or process administration as 'owner'
  • Focus primarily on execution within defined parameters
  • Assist in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures or products
  • Direct day-to-day work of junior level employees
  • Mentor, coach, train and oversee progress of FA analysts
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
  • Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled
  • Articulate own process along with its key controls and support reasoning with appropriate evidence in assigned area of work
  • Utilize understanding of concepts and procedures within own area (Fixed Assets Accounting) and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact on own area
  • Apply understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing objectives
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired accounting experience and guided by precedents
  • Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others
  • Be assigned various tasks as instructed by the manager related, but not limited, to customer service, user training, quality assurance, information and projects
  • Pitch-in in the production process to ensure compliance of team to service level commitments
  • Assist in the training of stakeholders to educate them on Fixed Assets-related policies, processes, and P2P tools
  • Ensure controls are executed properly and operations are working efficiently

Requirements:

  • Min 5 years of experience in accounting/finance with commensurate stakeholder management experience
  • Knowledge in Fixed Assets Process
  • Ability to handle high volume of work & adapt to change
  • Ability to rapidly learn technical and business techniques and knowledge
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Leadership potential and good supervisory skills
  • Strong team player, willing to learn and share experience with other team members
