We are looking for a Fixed Asset & Accounts Payable Financial Accountant to take over daily activities in Fixed Assets & Accounts Payable department. This job is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, has polished communication skills and is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including third parties.
Job Responsibility:
Fixed assets register maintenance: Monitor new asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals in the fixed asset register
Depreciation and capitalization: Calculate and record depreciation expense and ensure assets are capitalized correctly according to accounting standards and company policies
Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts between the general ledger and sub-ledgers
Audit support: Prepare documentation and respond to queries from internal and external auditors
Financial reporting: Assist in preparing reports related to fixed assets and leases for financial statements
Asset Locations: Monitor and reconcile asset locations related to Assets
Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable records and supplier statements to ensure accuracy
Ensure compliance: Adhere to all relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and policies
Requirements:
University degree & MSc in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of professional experience in relevant positions
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly for fixed assets and leases
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and auditors
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask
Fluent English and Greek language
Very good computer- MS office, SAP ERP understanding
