Job Description:

We are looking for a Fixed Asset & Accounts Payable Financial Accountant to take over daily activities in Fixed Assets & Accounts Payable department. This job is ideal for someone who is highly analytical, has polished communication skills and is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including third parties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Fixed assets register maintenance: Monitor new asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals in the fixed asset register
  • Depreciation and capitalization: Calculate and record depreciation expense and ensure assets are capitalized correctly according to accounting standards and company policies
  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of fixed asset accounts between the general ledger and sub-ledgers
  • Audit support: Prepare documentation and respond to queries from internal and external auditors
  • Financial reporting: Assist in preparing reports related to fixed assets and leases for financial statements
  • Asset Locations: Monitor and reconcile asset locations related to Assets
  • Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable records and supplier statements to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure compliance: Adhere to all relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and policies

Requirements:

  • University degree & MSc in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of professional experience in relevant positions
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, particularly for fixed assets and leases
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other departments and auditors
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask
  • Fluent English and Greek language
  • Very good computer- MS office, SAP ERP understanding
