Fitter

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, and other fixed plant equipment
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements of mechanical components to minimise downtime
• Install and align gearboxes, bearings, motors, and drive systems
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and condition monitoring on critical assets
• Read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and work instructions
• Operate tools and lifting equipment safely and in line with site procedures
• Complete maintenance records, defect reports, and work orders accurately
• Collaborate with electricians and operators to ensure reliable and safe operation of equipment
• Comply with all isolation, lockout, and permit-to-work procedures
• Participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades, and continuous improvement activities

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working on fixed plant or processing equipment in the mining or heavy industrial sector
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fixed plant maintenance principles
• Competence in fault-finding, repair, and alignment of rotating equipment
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow maintenance procedures
• Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and reporting requirements
