This role requires a blend of heavy structural assembly skills and fine mechanical precision.
Job Responsibility:
Structural Erection & Assembly: Assembling and bolting the primary and secondary steel structures that support the heat exchanger bundles
Fitting the fan bridge assembly, including the installation of fan rings, gearboxes, and motor supports
Assisting with the lifting and positioning of finned tube bundles
Mechanical Fitting & Alignment: Precise leveling and alignment of the motor, fluid coupling (if applicable), and gearbox
Installing fan blades and manually adjusting the blade pitch angle
Fitting large-diameter steam ducting (gooseneck) and condensate piping
Maintenance & Tools: Executing controlled bolting and torquing sequences
Using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and laser alignment tools to verify tolerances
Interpreting complex isometric drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and manufacturer assembly manuals
