Job Description

A premier organization in the manufacturing industry has an opportunity for you to advance your career as a Fitter-Welder. this full-time role offers a competitive wage of $35-$40/hr for a Fitter-Welder in Burlington. As a Fitter-Welder, you will perform precision fitting and welding on critical emission control systems and train junior welders. You will interpret complex blueprints and use a variety of welding techniques including MIG, Flux-core and TIG. This company offers a consistent day shift, a 2% RRSP match, and a comprehensive benefits package available after 3 months.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welds on stainless steel assemblies
  • Read complex blueprints in both metric and imperial measurements
  • Operate fabrication machinery including drills, grinders, and cutting tools
  • Fit and tack metal components based on technical engineering drawings
  • Mentor and train junior employees and production welders

Requirements

  • Hold a valid CWB certification or demonstrate the immediate ability to pass a CWB test
  • Possess a welding diploma from an institution such as Sheridan, Conestoga, or Humber
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints in both metric and imperial
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years of professional experience as a Fitter-Welder
