As a Fitter-Welder, you will perform precision fitting and welding on critical emission control systems and train junior welders. You will interpret complex blueprints and use a variety of welding techniques including MIG, Flux-core and TIG. Job Responsibility
Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welds on stainless steel assemblies
Read complex blueprints in both metric and imperial measurements
Operate fabrication machinery including drills, grinders, and cutting tools
Fit and tack metal components based on technical engineering drawings
Mentor and train junior employees and production welders
Requirements
Hold a valid CWB certification or demonstrate the immediate ability to pass a CWB test
Possess a welding diploma from an institution such as Sheridan, Conestoga, or Humber
Ability to interpret complex blueprints in both metric and imperial
Demonstrate at least 5 years of professional experience as a Fitter-Welder
Nice to have
