Requirements

Minimum 3 years of work experience in the trade as a Welder Fitter
High level of expertise in MIG welding and complex fitting from scratch
Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and translate them into finished products
Sharp eye for detail and weld integrity
CWB MIG Tickets are an asset, especially 3G or 4G certifications

Job Responsibility

Perform high-quality MIG welding and detailed fitting on various thin-gauge metal components
Read and accurately execute complex engineering drawings and blueprints
Conduct thorough self-inspections and clean all finished welds to prepare them for the powder-coating line
Manage short-run projects, assembling diverse products from start to finish in a job shop setting
Utilize shop machinery like brake presses or shears to assist with the manufacturing process

Requirements

For Welders: Provide a minimum of three years of professional welding experience in a custom fabrication environment

Job Responsibility

For Fitters: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, including centerlines, orientation callouts, elevations, and offsets to ensure precision for pressure-vessel components
For Fitters: Execute the layout and fitting of complex multi-component assemblies, ensuring correct root gaps, bevels, and nozzle orientations prior to welding
For Fitters: Take ownership of the complete fit-up scope, including the safe rigging and handling of heavy shells and large-diameter vessels
For Welders: Perform high-quality MIG welding on industrial vessels and specialized piping systems
For Welders: Produce welds qualified for spot and full X-ray testing
For Welders: Maintain consistent bead profile and fusion on fillet and butt welds, ensuring minimal leakage and excellent overall weld appearance
