Job Description:

Pruitt is seeking candidates to fill a Fitter Welder position at our corporate headquarters in Fort Smith, AR. In the various shops in Fort Smith, we assemble and refurbish equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assemble and refurbish equipment used in the oil and gas industry
  • Work on Rotating Control Devices, Control Panels, Managed Pressure Drilling Equipment, etc.
  • Adhere to Quality Standards (Pruitt is Q1 Certified)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in flux core arc welding (FCAW) OR Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
  • 2 years' experience reading and working off blueprints and schematics
  • Must be able to pass a 3G Flux Core weld test
  • Must pass a bend test as a condition of employment
  • Must become AWS Certified after hire if not already certified
  • Must pass a drug test as a condition of employment
  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet production goals
  • Ability to solve problems logically
  • Ability to work without direct supervision in a team environment
  • Persistence to see a job through from start to completion
