This Fitness Training Academy Tutor role is ideal for someone with experience working with young people, who is eager to share their knowledge and expertise to help students achieve their goals. You will be responsible for managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for groups of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of course and accreditation. Our Study Programme Tutors deliver learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills and enable learners to achieve accredited qualifications as well as qualifications in English and maths up to GCSE level.
Job Responsibility:
Planning and delivering dynamic and innovative teaching, learning, and assessment sessions
Incorporating the latest developments in the sector and integrating technology effectively into teaching
Providing pastoral and tutorial support to learners
Supporting learners in achieving accredited qualifications, including English and maths up to GCSE level
Delivering and assessing the YMCA Awards Level 2 and Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry Diplomas in Exercise and Fitness
Managing and delivering diverse learning opportunities for groups of learners from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion of course and accreditation
Delivering learning opportunities that are practical in nature, develop employability and social skills
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, and/or vulnerable adults
Requirements:
Teaching qualification – PGCE/Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
Industry qualification – Minimum Level 3 qualification in Fitness and/or Personal Training
A passion for education and helping young people succeed
Strong communication and organisational skills
