Are you passionate about health, wellbeing, and delivering exceptional guest experiences? Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone is now seeking a dedicated Fitness Instructor to join our Leisure Club team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a customer-focused environment and is committed to helping others achieve their fitness goals. As a Fitness Instructor, you will play a key role in creating a positive and safe environment for our members and guests. From leading fitness classes to designing personalised programmes, maintaining high hygiene standards, and supporting the daily operations of the leisure club, you’ll ensure every visitor enjoys a first-class experience.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
Welcome members/guests and provide professional support and instruction
Conduct gym inductions, fitness assessments, and create personalised fitness programmes
Teach group exercise classes as required
Ensure the gym, pool area, sauna, steam room, and all facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained
Complete daily/weekly cleaning schedules and pool/jacuzzi chemical checks
Carry out regular health & safety checks and maintain a safe working environment
Assist in member retention and business growth through excellent engagement and proactive communication
Support reception tasks when required, including phone handling and customer queries
Report maintenance issues promptly and keep all records up to date

Requirements:

Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (minimum required)
REPs Ireland Level 2 registration
Basic First Aid qualification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to engage and motivate individuals and groups
Commitment to safety, hygiene, and exceptional service standards

Nice to have:

Experience working in a gym or leisure environment
Lifeguard certification
Occupational First Aid certification
Certified Pool Plant Room Operator
Strong admin/IT skills and experience handling customer enquiries
Experience contributing to membership sales or club revenue
