Gillespie Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a leading Well-Established Food Retailer, that pride themselves in selling the best quality produce they can find! As part of their expansion, they’re recruiting a Fishmonger, to join their dynamic team!

Job Responsibility:

  • Select, prepare, and display fresh fish and seafood
  • Preparing and filleting a range of fish and seafood
  • Monitoring stock and proper rotation
  • Keeping high quality food and uphold Food Safety standards
  • Work closely with the rest of the team & advocate our culture of fun and hard work
  • Ordering & to assist in minimising waste
  • Help customers with their order and find them the best product to suit their needs. Give advise and recommendation on cooking/uses of product

Requirements:

  • A high level of experience of knife work
  • Skilled in cutting, cleaning and preparing all fish products
  • Will be positive, flexible and hardworking with a passionate commitment to quality
  • Support the delivery of all orders and key performance targets in your area and ensure attention to detail and that procedures are followed
  • Successful candidates will need to demonstrate good manual dexterity, have a good eye and hand co-ordination, show attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with all tasks
