Job Description:

We are looking for a Scout to join our team. The role will predominately be home-based due to the nature of the position, but you will also be required to travel to matches both nationally and internationally frequently and attending Bodymoor Heath Training Ground for meetings as and when required. You will play a vital role in compiling and collating reports, developing a strong understanding of current players at the Club when assessing new prospective signings and effectively using data to make holistic and evidence-based recommendations regarding target players.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify, review, report on and monitor target teams and players utilising a combination of video and live viewing in line with the Club’s recruitment strategy
  • Compile and collate reports
  • Develop a strong understanding of current players at the Club when assessing new prospective signings
  • Effectively use data to make holistic and evidence-based recommendations regarding target players
  • Actively participate in recruitment meetings and present rational and informed conclusions on players that have been reported on
  • Travel to matches both nationally and internationally frequently
  • Attend Bodymoor Heath Training Ground for meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Hold the FA Talent ID (Level 2 or above)
  • IT literate
  • Previous experience working in a scouting capacity at a professional football Club (ideally women’s first team)
  • Experience using scouting systems such as Wyscout to view videos, make observations and create extended video playlists
  • Strong organisational skills, discipline and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Hold a full, UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • Available and willing to work flexibly and travel as required
