Job Description

This position is responsible for observing, monitoring, and protecting all assets of the company, guests, vendors, and team members. All positions within 7 CLANS CASINOS are responsible for the overall maintaining of excellent guest services, efficient productivity, and providing an orderly, safe, and exciting workplace. All positions within the Enterprise require attention to quality guest services skills and exceptional team work. This position is responsible for ensuring the security and safety of guests, team members, vendors, and all company assets.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests, vendors, and fellow team members
  • Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and breaks in security and report to lead and or supervisor
  • Works effectively with all departments assuring efficient security support is provided when needed
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activity by casino Team Members, vendors, or gaming guest
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other company staff, vendors, and contractors
  • Aids law enforcement authorities as needed under the direction of management
  • Regularly assist in transporting and escorts regarding assets transported throughout locations of the operational facilities during their assigned shift including assisting with guest escorts when requested
  • Documents and reports all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy, makes immediate, accurate detailed descriptions of people and incidents
  • Ensure that all functions and duties are maintained in a professional and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Department Management
  • Monitors all relevant activities of the department, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the organization, and the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and the Otoe-Missouria Gaming Commission (OMGC) are understood and enforced by departmental personnel
  • Ensures all assigned staff are aware of, understands and complies with regulatory requirements and enforces regulatory standards through discipline when necessary
  • Performs all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, objectives of the Otoe Missouria Tribe, internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, OM TICS, the Bank Secrecy Act

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • One (1) to Two (2) years’ experience in security preferred or a combination of education and security experience within specific areas of responsibility
  • Casino experience preferred
  • An equivalent combination of Customer Service and Communications experience may be required
  • Must be punctual and dependable in reporting to work as scheduled and completing assigned tasks
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience in the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff, communications, decision making, problem solving, complaint resolution and resources allocation
  • Read, write, and speak the English language
  • Perform intermediate mathematical computations up to and including probability and statistics
  • Protect the Company’s value by keeping information confidential
  • Perform assigned tasks under supervision
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with executive level management, other managerial and supervisory staff, and other Team Members
  • Work well alone or within a team
  • Present facts and recommendations in oral and written form
  • Prepare written reports and correspondence to upper management as required
  • Utilize MS Office products at basic to intermediate skill level
  • Exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities
  • Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to provide the following cards or work authorization documents: All documents required to show the incumbent is eligible to work in the United States
  • Required to pass a drug test and obtain and maintain a gaming license to work in a casino from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission
  • Must have Otoe Missouria Gaming License
  • Must have Driver’s License
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and push, pull or drag up to 150 lbs.
