Job Description:

The role of First Commis involves preparing meals, maintaining food quality standards, supporting management with employee training, and adhering to safety and quality policies in a luxury hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items
  • Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
  • Maintain food logs
  • Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
  • Assist management in hiring, training, and evaluating employees
  • Follow safety and security policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Address guests’ service needs

Requirements:

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
  • At least 3 years of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
