Job Description

Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP is a public accounting firm serving clients across Nebraska and several surrounding states, providing local expertise supported by the resources of a multi-office organization. We deliver comprehensive services including general tax, audit, accounting, management consulting, estate planning, financial planning, and several other services, while building long-term relationships that support our clients’ growth and financial well-being. We are looking for a Firm Administrator to guide the daily operations of our firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead office operations and process improvements
  • Assist the Managing Partner on strategy and special projects
  • Supervision of Internal Accounting and Human Resources departments
  • Collaborate with IT and Marketing departments
  • Supervision of the firm’s time/billing and collection processes
  • Oversee CPE administration and license renewals
  • Prepare key financial reports
  • Manage 401(k) processes and audit support
  • Support compensation, benefits, and policy compliance
  • Develop and deliver related staff training
  • Handle sensitive HR and employee relations matters
  • Stay current on HR laws and provide guidance to leadership
  • Partner with IT in accessing needs, planning and implementation
  • Develop and deliver training related to IT
  • Assist with developing, executing and maintaining the marketing plan and brand consistency
  • Coordinate marketing materials, digital content, and advertising
  • Manage community involvement and public-facing communications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, or related field
  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

  • Coordinate tax- and license-related filings by working with external partners to support annual business licenses, property tax reporting, and corporate federal and state tax submissions for multiple offices
  • Develop and maintain financial analyses used for leadership reporting, including calculations tied to owner compensation and associate incentive payments
  • Lead administration of employee benefits by ensuring required filings and compliance obligations are completed and by partnering with brokers to evaluate competitive coverage options
  • Communicate benefit offerings and enrollment timelines to employees, helping ensure staff understand available programs and key deadlines
  • Provide human resources leadership across four office locations, including employee relations support, policy guidance, conflict resolution, hiring, onboarding, separations, and offboarding activities
  • Advise firm leadership on workplace matters and engage outside specialists, such as employment counsel, when additional expertise is needed
  • Oversee office facilities and capital assets, including vendor management, equipment purchasing or leasing, lease coordination, and planning for space improvements or buildouts
