Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cisco IronPort Web Security Appliance (WSA) Engineer to manage, administer, and support enterprise web security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Cisco Secure Web Appliance (formerly Cisco IronPort WSA) solutions to ensure secure internet access, web filtering, malware protection, and compliance with organizational security policies. Cisco Secure Web Appliance provides URL filtering, application visibility and control, malware protection, HTTPS inspection, and web traffic monitoring capabilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer and support Cisco IronPort / Cisco Secure Web Appliance (WSA) environments
  • Configure and maintain Web Proxy, Access Policies, Identity Policies, and Decryption Policies
  • Manage URL Filtering, Application Visibility & Control, and Acceptable Use Policies
  • Implement and maintain HTTPS inspection (SSL Decryption) policies
  • Configure Authentication services including LDAP, Active Directory, NTLM, Kerberos, and SSO integration
  • Monitor web traffic, user activity, and security incidents through WSA reporting and logging tools
  • Configure malware protection, reputation filtering, and Advanced Malware Protection (AMP)
  • Integrate WSA with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or Microsoft Sentinel
  • Manage WCCP/PBR deployments for transparent proxy integration with network devices
  • Perform software upgrades, patch management, backup, and disaster recovery activities
  • Analyze security events, investigate threats, and recommend remediation actions
  • Create operational documentation, SOPs, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to improve web security posture
  • Troubleshoot proxy, authentication, SSL, certificate, and internet access issues

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IronPort WSA / Cisco Secure Web Appliance
  • Strong understanding of Web Proxy Technologies, URL Filtering, HTTPS/SSL Inspection, Malware Detection and Prevention, Application Control, Authentication Mechanisms (LDAP, AD, NTLM, Kerberos), TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, WCCP and Proxy Architecture
  • Experience with Cisco Talos threat intelligence and AMP integration
  • Knowledge of log analysis and SIEM integration
  • Familiarity with network security technologies including Firewalls, IPS, VPN, and Secure Web Gateways
  • Experience with Linux/Unix administration is an advantage
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 3–8+ years of experience in Web Security Administration
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco IronPort WSA/SWA
