The Firearms Inventory Controller (FIC), who reports to the Director of Firearms Management and Compliance, is a strategic resource overseeing firearms issuance, retrieval, and storage across all region(s). Supporting the Weapons Compliance Managers, the Firearms Inventory Controller helps ensure proper and timely transactions of firearms, compliance, operations, ATF, state regulatory compliance standards for all guard service region(s). This will include Allied Universal's procedures, all aspects of firearm acquisition and disposition, sale, transfer, distribution and purchase of regulated firearms, safe handling of firearms, licensing, and registration.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure firearms ATF compliance processes and procedures are in adherence to Federal, State and Local Laws, ordinances, and regulations through coordinating detailed compliance inspections
analyze results of Federal (ATF Form 4473, 3310.4, 3310.12, 3310.6, 3310.11) and state required paperwork, and internal documents to determine licensed facilities standing
Support compliance program as a trusted resource for questions related to proper firearm acquisition, disposition, and transfer related scenarios
Perform administrative duties and oversight of electronic systems supporting the acquisition and disposition and electronic ATF / state required forms related to transfer of firearms
Assist with any regulatory and Law Enforcement-related internal or external firearms investigation
Assist in providing guidance and consultation on risk mitigation and support for licensed locations
Contribute to overall firearms regulatory compliance by staying current with Federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Develop and implement internal auditing process for branches within their scope
work with branch leadership to develop processes to stay compliant
Provide expert recommendations and develop guidance materials/processes to resolve deficiencies
strategize with stakeholders to come up with best practices and stay atop firearms compliance expectations
Provide expertise and advice in the development of training and guidance materials for branch personnel
Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or five (5) years of verifiable work history
Must be able to travel up to 20%
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
Must possess, or be able to acquire, NRA Home Firearms Safety Course (4hrs) - Live, Instructor-Led certification
Prior work or educational experience involving the care and maintenance of firearms
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a security business operations
Demonstrated highest adherence to ethics

Certification in one or more of the following: Armorer for major firearms manufacturer(s) (e.g., Glock, Sig Sauer, FN, Remington, Mossberg, etc.)
National Rifle Association Basic Pistol
National Rifle Association Personal Protection
National Rifle Association Range Safety Officer
