Job Description:

This opportunity is for an experienced Fire Surveyor to work on high-profile projects across the UK, assessing fire safety systems and driving technical excellence within a respected consultancy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluating both active and passive fire protection systems within complex buildings
  • Benchmarking installations against test data, manufacturers’ specifications, and certification requirements
  • Conducting detailed surveys and preparing comprehensive field reports
  • Attending client and design team meetings
  • Advising on remedial strategies and compliance improvements
  • Supporting and developing fee proposals, project scopes, and technical reports
  • Mentoring junior team members and driving technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of fire safety design principles, codes, and standards
  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or Degree) in Building Studies, Construction, or Engineering
  • Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or similar professional body
  • Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
  • Confident in client-facing situations and experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects.
