Job Description:

This opportunity is for an experienced Fire Surveyor to work on high-profile projects across the UK, assessing fire safety systems and driving technical excellence within a respected consultancy.

Job Responsibility:

Evaluating both active and passive fire protection systems within complex buildings
Benchmarking installations against test data, manufacturers’ specifications, and certification requirements
Conducting detailed surveys and preparing comprehensive field reports
Attending client and design team meetings
Advising on remedial strategies and compliance improvements
Supporting and developing fee proposals, project scopes, and technical reports
Mentoring junior team members and driving technical excellence.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fire Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy environment
Strong understanding of fire safety design principles, codes, and standards
Relevant qualification (HNC/HND or Degree) in Building Studies, Construction, or Engineering
Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or similar professional body
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
Confident in client-facing situations and experienced in managing multiple concurrent projects.
