Job Description

The PPM Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of fire assets, on the London Underground network. You’ll be working on a night shift , Sunday to Thursday pattern and in all weather. You’ll be trusted to work autonomously and relied on to make sure you work safely at all times. This is a excellent opportunity, to work for a market leading company.

Job Responsibility

  • Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a nightly basis on sprinkler systems
  • Ability to support the delivery of Daily tasks in line with business expectations
  • Working as part of a team and individually dependant on task
  • Monitoring of works to ensure continued compliance
  • Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager
  • Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule
  • Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues
  • Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Must have experience carrying out PPM maintenance on fire sprinkler systems
  • Must have own van or car
  • Must have fire sprinkler experience
  • Familiarity with local, national, and international fire codes, regulations, and standards as wet/dry sprinklers, gas suppression systems, foam systems
  • Expertise in water flow calculations and the behaviour of fluids under pressure
  • Understanding of various types of fire suppression systems
  • Driver’s license
  • Health and Safety awareness and practice

Nice to have

  • Sentinel Card - Not essential
  • Previous experience working within the LUL or Rail environment - desirable not essential
