Job Description:

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking for a Fire Safety Consultant to join their growing Fire Safety team in Birmingham. This Fire Safety Consultant role would suit an experienced fire professional who enjoys a mix of site-based work, client advisory and technical report writing. As a Fire Safety Consultant, you will work across a varied portfolio of commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sector properties. The successful Fire Safety Consultant will provide practical fire safety advice to clients, helping them manage compliance, risk and building safety obligations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Safety Consultant looking for better flexibility, stronger project variety and long-term progression. The Fire Safety Consultant will join a supportive consultancy with a strong pipeline of work and a clear route into senior-level responsibility.

Job Responsibility:

Carry out fire safety audits, fire risk assessments, site inspections and technical reviews across a broad range of property types
produce clear reports
advise clients on fire safety improvements
support compliance with current legislation
work closely with internal design, building surveying and health and safety teams

Requirements:

Experience working in fire safety, fire risk or building safety
Strong knowledge of the Fire Safety Order and current UK legislation
Experience completing fire risk assessments or fire safety audits
Excellent report writing skills
Strong communication and client-facing ability
NEBOSH Fire, Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent
Full UK driving licence

Nice to have:

Membership of the IFE, IFSM or similar
