Job Description:

A specialist, boutique fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join their team. This role involves delivering high-quality fire safety solutions for a variety of building types, in addition to providing consultancy advice and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering high-quality Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and consultancy services across a diverse range of building archetypes
  • Conducting retrospective fire strategies, fire safety management plans, fire safety audits, occupancy calculations, and reviews
  • Providing consultancy advice on fire safety matters, including site monitoring as part of Stage 5 development processes
  • Applying BS9999, BS9991, BS7974, PD 7974-6:2004, and other relevant codes of practice
  • Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and accountable persons to ensure best practice and compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022

Requirements:

  • Degree educated ideally/ not essential
  • CFPA Diploma
  • Level 4/5 Diploma in Fire Safety
  • Practical understanding of fire safety legislation and building regulations
  • Extensive experience conducting FRAs, retrospective fire strategies, and fire safety audits
  • Strong knowledge of Approved Documents, BS standards, and fire engineering principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client engagement
