Job Description:

A respected fire safety consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable Fire Safety Consultant to deliver expert guidance across various sectors, including housing, commercial, and education. This role involves fire risk assessments, regulatory compliance, stakeholder collaboration, and consultancy on fire safety measures.

Job Responsibility:

Carrying out detailed fire risk assessments (Type 1-4)
Writing fire strategy reports
Ensuring full regulatory compliance under Fire Safety Order 2005 and associated legislation
Liaising with key stakeholders
Attending design team meetings
Providing expert consultancy on passive and active fire safety measures
Ensuring safety provisions are robust, proportionate, and tailored to each site

Requirements:

Minimum Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification (IFE/IFSM recognised)
NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent desirable
Experience across residential, commercial or public sector portfolios
Good working knowledge of PAS 9980, BS 9997, and Building Regulations
Confident in report writing and communicating technical detail to clients
Membership with the IFE or IFSM is highly desirable

Nice to have:

NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent
Membership with the IFE or IFSM
