Role Overview Reporting to the Team Manager, you will lead on the day-to-day health and safety management of building projects, maintenance contracts, and fire risk assessments. You will allocate work to internal teams or external contractors and ensure the highest standards of delivery, safety, and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee building safety, fire risk assessments, and contract compliance across the borough
Manage and allocate work to Property Services Officers/Supervisors and contractors
Ensure projects meet safety standards, budgets, and quality benchmarks
Develop robust procedures and quality assurance frameworks
Deputise for the Assistant Manager when required
Support and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and expertise
Provide input into the improvement of FRA templates, policies, and processes
Requirements:
Background in surveying or building with knowledge of fire safety in purpose-built blocks
Qualified Fire Risk Assessor
Membership with IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers)
Experience working in a local authority or housing association setting
