As a Fire Marshal (walking fire watch officer), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring fire prevention, safety, and compliance on-site. Job Responsibility:

  • Patrol all areas of the site (internal and external) to ensure fire safety and compliance
  • Check specifically identified rooms and potential fire hazard areas
  • Record and maintain site logs and reports using our digital reporting system
  • Take control during fire incidents and lead safe evacuation of residents and visitors
  • Use fire extinguishers where practicable to control small fires
  • Adhere to site health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Implement fire regulations, equipment checks, alarms, and emergency procedures
  • Attend and complete all mandatory training for the safety of patients, visitors, and staff
  • Perform additional duties as required for the role

Requirements:

  • Minimum age: 18+
  • Level 2 Fire Safety for Fire Marshals (required)
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Ability to follow fire prevention and evacuation procedures
  • Customer service mindset and a friendly, professional manner
  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous development

Nice to have:

Experience in Fire Warden, Fire Prevention, Risk Assessment, Search Officer, or Customer Service roles

  • Champion excellent maintenance of both the external and internal spaces in our homes and gardens to ensure they are well maintained, beautifully presented and safe places to live/work for our residents and staff

  • Be accountable for completion and appropriate filing of associated documentation
  • Take personal responsibility in becoming fully aware of Health and Safety at Work Policies, in particular Fire Procedures, Control of Infection, COSHH and Moving and Handling.
