Job Description:

Fire Life Safety Technician position at Cairo Marriott Hotel. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive and complex maintenance, ensuring safety and security compliance, and providing excellent guest service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Carry equipment
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
  • Read standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC
  • Perform highly complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical equipment
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Use engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Train and mentor other engineers
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Complete safety training and certifications
  • Properly store flammable materials
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Protect company assets

Requirements:

  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
  • Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
