We are seeking an entry level Fire Alarm/Fire Sprinkler Inspection Technician responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler systems. This role combines hands-on technical work with supervised on-the-job training, ensuring optimal performance and client/tenant satisfaction while developing your technical capabilities in life safety systems.
Job Responsibility:
Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and competitive manufacturer systems
Accurately identify and document deficiencies found during inspections using laptops, smartphones, and hardcopy documentation
Complete work orders and maintain highly structured inspection schedules
Make minor repairs to systems being inspected and assist with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems
Perform work in challenging positions including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
Work within HVAC ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings as required
Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 pounds
Requirements:
Willingness to learn fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems with future growth potential
Ability to obtain and retain licenses required by National, State and Local codes
Capability to perform physical labor including lifting 50-70 pounds
Ability to work in unusual positions and climb equipment up to 40 feet
Flexibility to work on-call rotation, nights, and weekends
Strong organizational skills and positive attitude with quick learning ability
High level of customer service and safety adherence
Nice to have:
Experience with computers, hand tools, and multi-meter usage
Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or technical fields
