Job Description:

We are currently seeking a qualified hands-on dedicated Certified Fire Investigator to conduct fire/explosion origin and cause investigations of commercial, institutional, high-rise and residential buildings, heavy and farm equipment, vehicles and boats.

Job Responsibility:

  • Determine the origin and cause of fires and explosions
  • Conduct field investigations to document onsite conditions
  • Prepare and provide oral and written reports
  • Provide expert witness testimony
  • 50/50 field work and office duties

Requirements:

  • IAAI - CFI
  • NAFI - CFEI
  • P.I. licensure within state applying to (except Colorado)
  • Familiar with NFPA 921
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in performing O&C investigations

Nice to have:

  • Expert witness testimony experience
  • Proven track record in conducting fire origin and cause investigations for the private sector

  • Good understanding of UK and International best practice, applicable codes and standards relating to fire safety engineering including the ALARP principle
