An independent and forward-thinking consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their growing fire safety team based in Manchester. With a reputation for delivering bespoke solutions across the built environment, this consultancy offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex and high-profile projects throughout the UK.
Job Responsibility:
Developing and reviewing fire strategies in line with Approved Document B and BS 9999/BS 7974
Site inspections and fire risk assessments in both new-build and existing properties
Supporting with CFD modelling (Smoke and Heat) and evacuation simulations
Coordinating with building control, design teams, and end clients
Producing technical fire safety reports and presentations
Requirements:
A degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline
Working knowledge of fire safety standards, UK Building Regulations, and design codes
2+ years’ experience in a consultancy, engineering, or regulatory setting
Membership (or working towards) IFireE or MIFireE status (desirable)
Strong report writing and communication skills
Nice to have:
Membership (or working towards) IFireE or MIFireE status
