Job Description:

Motivated Fire Engineer required to join an industry-leading, employee-owned consultancy, working alongside an established team based in Manchester or Bristol. Supporting projects across various sectors, including retail, education, healthcare and more.

Job Responsibility:

Applying core fire engineering principles, regulatory framework, codes and standards on simple fire safety design projects
developing peripheral core technical knowledge through observation, shadowing of more senior engineers, and self-development
site visits and client/project team meetings
putting forward solutions based on codes, standards, technical evidence and previous work/case studies
undertaking self-analysis of technical development needs and seeking support to address knowledge shortfall
suggesting and seeking out opportunities on existing research and development projects
project management of small schemes from inception to completion, including preparation of fee proposals
assisting senior engineers to develop detailed fee proposals on complex projects

Requirements:

Minimum of an Engineering degree
membership in the IFE
MSc/MEng in related fire or engineering subjects is desirable
previous experience within a related role
