Job Description:

A leading, forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their expanding London team. This is a key opportunity for an ambitious Fire Engineer with strong technical expertise and client-facing experience to support the delivery of high-quality fire safety solutions across a wide range of projects. Long-term professional growth for every one of its team is a key priority for this firm. The Fire Engineer will work within a collaborative environment, contributing to the development of fire strategies, advising on compliance with UK fire regulations, and preparing detailed reports for clients in both the public and private sectors.

Job Responsibility:

Producing clear and concise fire safety reports for new builds, refurbishments and complex developments
Engaging directly with clients, design teams and external stakeholders to guide projects from concept through to completion
Applying strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance (including Approved Document B and BS 9999/BS 7974)
Identifying and delivering practical, risk-informed fire safety strategies tailored to each project
Supporting senior staff with project management and mentoring junior colleagues

Requirements:

A degree in Fire Engineering or a closely related discipline
Proven experience in a fire consultancy or similar environment, at least 18-24 months
Up-to-date understanding of UK fire regulations and standards
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in client-facing scenarios
A pragmatic, solution-focused mindset when addressing complex fire safety challenges
