A leading global engineering consultancy is seeking a Fire Engineer to join their team. The Fire Engineer will work on a wide range of high-profile and complex projects across sectors including transport, healthcare, residential, commercial, and infrastructure. The Fire Engineer will play a key role in delivering innovative, performance-based fire safety solutions across both UK and international projects. The Fire Engineer will be responsible for delivering fire engineering consultancy from concept through to detailed design stages.
Job Responsibility:
Developing comprehensive fire safety strategies for a variety of building and infrastructure projects
Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with relevant fire safety codes and standards
Undertaking fire and smoke modelling, including interpretation of simulation results
Managing fire engineering inputs across project lifecycles, ensuring delivery to time and budget
Supporting site activities including surveys, inspections, and stakeholder coordination
Requirements:
Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent)
Experience with fire and smoke modelling tools (CFD, evacuation models, zone modelling)
Strong knowledge of UK and international fire safety standards (e.g. NFPA, IBC)
Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills
Experience delivering performance-based fire engineering solutions
