Job Description:

A specialist fire safety consultancy is seeking a Fire Door Surveyor to join their growing compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Fire Door Surveyor to work across a varied portfolio, including residential developments, healthcare sites, and commercial properties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Carry out detailed fire door inspections in line with current regulations and industry standards
  • Assess fire door compliance, identify defects, and produce clear, comprehensive reports for clients
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure remedial actions are understood and implemented effectively
  • Manage their own workload, attending sites nationwide, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism
  • Contribute to maintaining quality standards across the consultancy’s fire door inspection services

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications such as FDIS Diploma or equivalent fire door inspection certification
  • Previous experience inspecting fire doors across residential or commercial properties
  • Strong understanding of BS 8214 and related guidance
  • Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills
