Relevant qualifications such as FDIS Diploma or equivalent fire door inspection certification
Previous experience inspecting fire doors across residential or commercial properties
Strong understanding of BS 8214 and related guidance
Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills

Job Responsibility

Carry out detailed fire door inspections in line with current regulations and industry standards
Assess fire door compliance, identify defects, and produce clear, comprehensive reports for clients
Liaise with contractors and clients to ensure remedial actions are understood and implemented effectively
Manage their own workload, attending sites nationwide, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism
Contribute to maintaining quality standards across the consultancy’s fire door inspection services

Communicating effectively with customers and design managers to ensure all requirements are met
