Job Description:

The role involves assisting door installers by transporting fire doors and related materials, as well as managing debris removal and loading skips. Additional responsibilities include stock taking within the yard (with training provided), organising materials, and ensuring the Fire Department area remains tidy. The position covers multiple regions across East Anglia—including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough, and Hertfordshire—and requires both team-based and lone working across social housing, healthcare, education, and Ministry of Defence sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting Passive fire Teams onsite, General Labouring, tidying site, running errands, making good with minor filling and touch up painting
  • Assisting Door installers onsite to carry doors and materials to locations within buildings and loading vans
  • Removal of site debris, Fire doors etc, and loading yard skips
  • Taking door and materials deliveries at the yard placing in appropriate locations and general tidying of Fire department area
  • Material stock taking in yard (Training given)
  • Will be working within the East Anglia area, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire
  • Working within a team and lone working on various social housing, M.O.D, healthcare and Education sites for various clients

Requirements:

  • A strong team player, but able to carry out lone working too
  • Good time keeping
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check will be carried out
  • This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity
  • You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively
