Job Description

The Fire Alarm Systems Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with fire safety standards and local building codes. Responsible for the completion of service requests at various locations throughout given territory.

Job Responsibility

  • Performs regular inspections and tests on fire alarm systems to ensure they are working effectively and meet NFPA standards
  • Coordinates with the local fire department to avoid response to testing
  • Interprets blueprints, diagrams, and specifications related to fire alarm systems
  • Identifies malfunctions, damage, or other issues that could impact the functionality of the fire alarm system
  • Coordinates with service technicians for repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems based on inspection findings

Requirements

  • Minimum two years previous experience in fire alarm inspection, installation, electrical installation, or a similar role
  • Possession of relevant licenses and certifications, as required by local or state regulations
  • Certification on major manufacture brands preferred, Edwards, Simplex, Notifier, FCI, Siemens
