A well-established fire safety specialist is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join their growing team, covering projects across the North East. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer who is confident working across a range of commercial, residential and public sector environments, delivering high-quality fire alarm servicing, maintenance, fault finding and small works.
Job Responsibility
Servicing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm systems across varied client sites throughout the North East
Attend planned and reactive works, identify faults efficiently, complete accurate paperwork, and ensure all works are carried out in line with current British Standards and fire safety regulations
Communicate professionally with clients on site, provide clear updates, and represent the business to a high standard at all times
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer
Strong knowledge of fire alarm servicing, maintenance and fault finding
Experience working on conventional and addressable fire alarm systems
A good understanding of BS 5839
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
The ability to manage their own workload effectively
Good IT skills for completing reports and service documentation
A full UK driving licence
Nice to have
Additional experience with emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke vents, access control, intruder alarms or other life safety systems
Industry-recognised qualifications such as FIA units, ECS, IPAF, or relevant electrical/fire safety training
