Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FinOps and Data Analytics Manager to lead our efforts in optimizing cloud financial operations and leveraging data to drive strategic business decisions. This role will be instrumental in bridging the gap between finance and technology, ensuring cost efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and insightful reporting across our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud platforms, and advanced data analytics techniques.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and mature FinOps capabilities and best practices across the organization
  • Establish and manage cloud cost allocation, chargeback, and showback models
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, identifying savings opportunities and implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising performance or security
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to embed FinOps principles into development and operational workflows
  • Manage cloud financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Lead the development and maintenance of robust data analytics solutions for cloud financial data, operational metrics, and business performance
  • Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, predict future costs, and model the financial impact of architectural changes
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting
  • Translate complex data insights into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Act as a subject matter expert for FinOps and cloud financial management
  • Educate and influence teams on cloud cost awareness and optimization strategies
  • Foster a culture of cost accountability and data-driven decision-making
  • Mentor and develop team members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or a related role with a strong focus on data analysis
  • 10+ years of experience with major public or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their billing/cost management tools
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Excel)
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
