Job Description:

Do you have a proven experience as a Team Leader within a manufacturing environment and are able to provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the slitting team for the purpose of achieving key results against our KPIs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and motivate a team of Slitting Operators and Runners to achieve Department and site goals
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety Policies and instructions
  • Drive a culture of quality and compliance in all manufacturing processes
  • Provide hands-on leadership and guidance on the shop floor
  • Review customer complaints with Operators and feedback all findings and corrective actions
  • Liaise and support the planning team to ensure each asset is planned in the most efficient order to balance across all internal & external KPI’s
  • Monitor all stocks and ensure stock accuracy across the department
  • Adjust labour to enable department to meet plan and supply customer requirements on time on a shift-by-shift basis
  • Mentor all Finishing staff to maximise skill sets and become a role model for them ensuring all training are completed on time
  • Report on production metrics to senior management
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader within an FMCG environment
  • Able to plan and organise work schedules in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage a team
  • In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • A real passion for developing yourself and others whilst contributing as part of a wider team
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach
