Job Description:

M. R. Tanner Construction is seeking a motivated Finish Dirt Crew Laborer to join our construction team. This position plays a critical role in preparing, grading, and finishing dirt surfaces for commercial and infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with equipment operators and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Job Responsibility:

  • Site preparation: Assist in grading, leveling, and compacting soil for construction projects
  • Equipment support: Work alongside operators of bulldozers, graders, and skid steers
  • Manual labor: Shovel, rake, and move dirt and materials as needed
  • Safety compliance: Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Team collaboration: Support crew members and supervisors to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Prior construction or dirt crew experience preferred but not required
  • Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in varying weather
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
  • Knowledge of basic construction safety practices
  • Valid license and reliable transportation required

  • Perform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples, if certified
  • Accurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue and culture samples
  • Perform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, Urine pregnancy, Urinalysis, blood glucose levels
  • Insure sterile technique, instrument cleaning and sterilization, proper use of the autoclave
  • Schedule and coordinate necessary records for ancillary care for patients
  • Assist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I & D’s and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation
