We are partnering with a growing organization to identify a Financial Systems Director to lead and support financial and accounting systems across the business. This role sits at the intersection of Finance and IT, focused on improving systems, reporting, and processes that support accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate is someone who understands how accounting works but also enjoys working with systems, data, and process improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the administration, optimization, and ongoing support of financial and accounting systems
  • Partner with Finance and IT to improve system functionality, integrations, and data flow
  • Support financial reporting by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency through system enhancements
  • Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including testing and documentation
  • Troubleshoot system issues and serve as a key resource for end users
  • Maintain data integrity across financial systems and related platforms
  • Develop and support reporting tools, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to align systems with business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms, or accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel and other business tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting system implementations or upgrades
  • Exposure to EPM or cloud-based financial systems
  • Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance roles
