Job Description

Circle K Stores is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Analyst – Oracle EPM / Essbase to manage its Oracle Essbase and EPM analytical applications, in support of financial budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role maintains Essbase environments while partnering with business users to gather, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from multiple systems. The position serves a key role in supporting merchandising and operations with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer, maintain, and support Oracle Essbase and EPM applications (on-premise and/or cloud)
  • Schedule and manage data loads, calculation scripts, aggregations, and automation routines using MaxL and related tools
  • Manage Essbase cubes, outlines, calculations, and restructuring to support changing business requirements
  • Monitor cube and application performance, performing optimization and performance tuning
  • Manage application security, user provisioning, and access controls
  • Troubleshoot system issues, including Smart View connectivity, performance, and usability issues
  • Coordinate with IT infrastructure and DBA teams on system updates, patches, upgrades, and environment migrations
  • Support integrations with Oracle EPM components such as Planning, EPBCS, FCCS, HFM, and Data Management
  • Perform backups, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures
  • Coordinate and execute all calculations related to quarterly bonus payouts, working across business areas to gather data and maintain a dynamic model that reflects bonus criteria
  • Produce the period-by-period Scorecard for operational performance of each store, market, region, and overall division
  • Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reporting as requested by leadership through collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data
  • Interpret and explain financial results to merchandising and operations teams to support decision-making
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modeling
  • Support period, quarterly, and annual close and management reporting processes
  • Increase professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reading publications, networking, and participating in professional societies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or administering Oracle Essbase / Oracle EPM environments
  • Hands-on experience with Essbase cube design, calculations, and performance tuning
  • Experience with MaxL scripting and automation
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Finance and IT teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, advanced functions, and formulas
  • experience with Microsoft Access preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities
  • Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting preferred
